Springboards Performing Arts is a theatre and music theatre training initiative co-ordinated by Adrian Barnes and Pat Wilson in Annandale, an inner suburb of Sydney. The range of training offered includes acting (in both one-on-one and small group sessions), singing (with specialisation in music theatre and jazz styles), specific-focus short courses (such as Acting for Camera and Laban for Actors), and Springboards, an intensive theatre and music theatre preparation course which comprises two consecutive 20-week terms a year.
Springboards Music Theatre Course runs over two days a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, and offers classes in acting, singing, spoken voice, Alexander Technique, body awareness and dancing, with a focus on preparation for entry into established theatre and music theatre courses nationally and internationally or simply maintaining those hard earned skills and keeping in shape for professional auditions. Students are aged 18 and over; class size is limited to 12.
Springboards Performing Arts employs a range of industry-based teachers to ensure the comprehensive relevance of its training.
